You Will Work in a Team Environment to:
o In collaboration with data science and software team, develop and optimize components of company’s data analysis pipeline and its integration with commercial, laboratory and software workflows, including sample QC, data and signal processing and machine learning classifiers
o Support activities like code reviews, optimization, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and integration testing
o Provide guidance to data science team members around best practices and alignment with the pipeline software development life cycle and associated procedures
o Develop genetic testing products meant for clinical use, in line with regulatory guidelines
Your Background Includes:
• MSc or BSc equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics or similar field
• Three (3) or more years of experience developing software pipelines for analysis of high complexity scientific data using development tools such as github, AWS, Nextflow and Docker, in a regulated environment following software development lifecycle practices
• Excellent knowledge of software testing practices (Unit testing, Integration testing)
• Other languages are an advantage (e.g. C, C++, Golang, Rust)
• Knowledge of the Common Workflow Language (CWL) and any hands-on experience with its various implementation are highly desired, but not a strict requirement
• Experience with computational and statistical programming
• Excellent knowledge of Phython or any other programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript and Go. Desired knowledge of frameworks and domain specific languages such as React, SpringBoot, Spring, Angular, Maven, Docker, Redis, Elasticsearch, Solr, Athena, MySQL, & Postgres is a plus.
• Experience with Jira & Confulence software
• Any additional knowledge of Computational Biology, Biology is an advantage
• Proficiency in Linux environment
• Ability to organize and classify large amounts of information
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience with time management and timeline development
• Flexibility
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Desire to learn about cancer genetics and detection and contribute to a collaborative and mutually respectful working environment
